By adding 1 1/2 oz. of pistachios to their diet, subjects saw their blood pressure plunge 4.8 points during anxiety-inducing situations! Each nut is rich in plant sterols and antioxidants that help control the body's response to stress, notes Penn State University researcher Sheila West, Ph.D. Eat one shot glass full of shelled nuts daily.
Drinking five cups of chamomile tea a day for two weeks will dramatically increase your body's levels of glycine, an amino acid proven to relieve muscle spasms and soothe frazzled nerves, British researchers report. And glycine levels will stay high for two weeks after you stop drinking the tea--great news, since glycine also boosts memory by enhancing the activity of chemical messengers in the brain!

Research proves peanut better and jelly sandwiches are an excellent antidote to insomnia! Why?
- Peanut better is loaded with snooze-inducing tryptophan.
- All-fruit grape jelly, according to new Italian research, is chockfull of the sleep-regulating hormone melatonin.
- Eating bread four hours before bed shaves up to nine minutes off the time it takes you to fall asleep, Australian research reveals.

Never knew that about pb&j. Thanks for the tips!
I love chamomile and green teas. I sometimes eat a PB&J sandwich in the evening when I need something right before bed. Sure does help me sleep, just never associated it with the good sleep. Thanks for the great tips!
Jennifer,
I don't know about Grape vs Strawberry, but my son is with you. He can't stand grape jelly!
